Our Classes:

 

BEGINNER HATHA YOGA - GENTLE

This class is perfect for students who are new to yoga – or for the experienced yogi who prefers a slower-paced class. Basic yoga postures (asanas) are taught with a deep awareness of correct alignment, precise actions in the body and attention to the breath. Modifications will be offered to give you more ease – or more challenge. This is a “no-pressure” class in a warm and welcoming environment!

HOT (or Not!) VINYASA FLOW

A vinyasa (linking movement with breath) style class of creative, flowing yoga poses with holds in the heat (38 C) designed to stretch, strengthen and challenge the body and mind. A good general level of fitness and some yoga experience is recommended. Come prepared to sweat!

*Although this class will challenge seasoned yogis, modifications will be offered for students who want to take it down a notch.

YOGA WITH WEIGHTS

Add a little extra to your yoga workout using weights and dynamic movement while holding your yoga poses. A great way to build strength, endurance and muscle tone!

RESTORATIVE

Restorative yoga, as the name suggests, helps to heal your body and restore your energies in a relaxed way. Moreover, this beautiful technique of yoga consists of gentle poses held for a period of time, using supportive tools. Restorative yoga is a passive, meditative form of yoga that allows you to focus on your breath while releasing tension in your body.

HATHA + YIN

This class is a balance of movement and stillness. Classic yoga asanas (seated/kneeling/standing poses) stretch and strengthen the muscles then we immerse ourselves in stillness with Yin poses. We hold Yin poses for 2 to 5 minutes, mostly while seated on the floor as we immerse ourselves in our breath and the present moment.

This class will leave you feeling grounded and balanced.

HOT POWER FLOW

Power flow is a dynamic version of traditional yoga flows. It is a little faster and can feel more intense, building strength and balance. There is cardiovascular engagement and breathe linked to movement that will help you to master your flow. Child’s pose is always an option for rest when needed.

YANG/YIN

This class allows you to experience a balance of strength and stillness; challenge and calm through flowing, dynamic sequences (Yang) followed by cooling, calming Yin poses.

Yin poses are traditionally held for 2 to 5 minutes allowing us to dive deeply into our bodies, connecting our body, mind and heart through focus on our breath.

SLOW FLOW

This class is specifically designed for yogis who want more intensity than a Gentle/Hatha class but with a slower pace than a Vinyasa/Flow class. You will be guided through a creative series of Sun Salutations with holds in a variety of traditional yoga asanas (poses).

Give yourself the opportunity to leave the world outside the door and focus on nourishing yourself - body, mind and heart!

HATHA + MEDITATION

This class combines a creative series of traditional yoga asanas ( seated/kneeling/standing poses) with a focus on breath work.

A guided meditation rounds out this class giving you space to connect with your truest self so you can face the day with calmness and clarity.

SUNDAY SLOW FLOW

A slow, mindful yoga practice, honouring Sunday as a day of reflection and reconnection to self. During this class, you will enjoy traditional yoga music.

Each class will begin with time for intentional breath and end in affirmations for a positive week to come.

 

MEDITATION IN ACTION

This class is warm restorative, where the room is a warm space to allow for deeper stretches and a cozy feel.

(The room is not actively heated but is cooling from a hot class 30min prior to the warm restorative class)
